I find Rav #AbrahamJoshuaHeschel a bit dogmatic and literal for my taste — suppose you can't fairly expect otherwise of a religious leader — but one thing he keeps reiterating that I wholeheartedly agree with is "just because the Bible is one people's understanding of God, that doesn't make it wrong"

I do not say this lightly. Despite the feelings of many individuals, I never even had the same passionate belief that Rabbi Abraham Joshua Heschel was an American prophet, and again, I know that is blasphemy. Despite having been just as widely read in #AbrahamJoshuaHeschel's writings as I was in #MLK's, I never did allow Heschel to ascend to the same status as MLK, with that significant signature. I suppose it is no surprise that I question these things now, being so removed from #theology.
