- 3/4 ounce #gin
- 3/4 ounce lemon juice
- 3/4 ounce #Cointreau
- 3/4 ounce Lillet blanc
- 1 dash #absinthe
Shake with ice. Strain into a #cocktail glass.

#TBT May 2009, the time I took a TGV (high speed train) from Gare du Nord train station in Paris to Pontarlier France (near the border of Switzerland), the birthplace of Absinthe with Peter Schaf (right).

Peter is the guy who got Anthony Bourdain all sorts of loopy on Absinthe in the pilot episode of No Reservations which was shot in Paris.

We spent the day at Distillerie Les Fils d'Emile Pernot which makes Vieux Pontarlier Absinthe that Peter created.

It was also once prescribed, legally, as a preventative for malaria. Then it was banned in many countries in the 1900s. And did not return until 2005
