My friends and I spent years at a school for poor boys, a school that used religion & discipline to deliver its charity, forever asking us to be thankful. So many of our teachers are now in the news for sexual abuse while my classmates have to live and die with the trauma.

We can do better than putting vulnerable and damaged children in the care of moralising disciplinarians. This is not justice, it's a way of placating white supremacists.
