When this map opens it is shows the GOES West satellite near real time image and the MODIS/VIIRS heat detection data. Lots of activity in western . Thankfully, so far the air quality in the PNW has been good. To get the most benefit from the map see 2 links upper left corner.

(Semi-Literal) Hot Take: The only way the oil sands will be shut in favour of non-CO2 emitting production of energy is if wildfires burn the whole infrastructure to the ground. And it might need to happen twice.
