finally testing the DC booster with my #18650battery to #ac200max

Looks like it is ~91% efficient; with a clamp amp meter

wires get a bit warm pushing 40A thru 10AWG connected with a XT-90 connected.

Also pushing the 3x20A BMS a bit hard on the battery can feel it getting warm. when installed that won’t be an issue.

The #ac200max has no issue powering my soldering work bench; fume fan and all.

I’m hoping it’ll boost my 24v battery input to 60-90v and allow the #ac200max to pull the full 900W; so i can charge it faster.

The solar generator worked for about 10 hours, supplemented with ~4 hours of OK solar.
It started out at 100% and went down to 44%
In the 10 hours i powered my fridge, bedroom lights, 2 servers, 2 network switches a garage door, raspberry pi, and some other infrequent loads.

@ReadyKilowatt yes. Especially the start up surge. That’s the main reason I got the #ac200max the 30amp RV plug should be able to cope better; never mind that it has a ~2000w inverter

I can get the #ac200max to charge at about 450w for a minute using dc-to-dc battery charger and then it drops to 130w or so.

and when i stop the charger, it gives a revers polarity warning.

might need another device charge at max 1400.

Since the #ac200max can only pull 15A from the solar and my DIY battery is 24v, I decided to get boost converter

hopefully it can pull about 700w from my DIY battery or more, so it can put the full 900w that the input can handle.

Got the ‘solar generator’ charged to 💯 last night; via the grid.

This morning decided to see how it’d fair with just the furnace.
So far at heavy load 600w are being pulled. I should do this for about 3.5 hours if things are constant and I don’t augment the box.
