I have a question for #academiamastodon
I'm an undergraduate researcher (22yo) volunteering, and I've been told I may be given authorship on some papers that I've contributed towards. My predicament is that I plan to get married and take my partner's name, but not for a few years still.
I have an ORCid so I can easily change my name on there but my question is should I/is it allowed to publish under the name your married name will be? I want to head off the "maiden-name" issue at the pass

I'm an assoc prof at #UBC (University of British Columbia) in #Vancouver, where I teach classes on #RussianLit, including one on Soviet #scifi 📚 I'm a #LitStudies scholar who works on 19thC Russian literature and #gothic literature. 👻 In April I published a book about the way that Russian realist writers use gothic narrative forms in their work 📖 I'm working on a new book about reading #climatechange across the long 19C 👩‍💻 I also am working on a project called #DigitalDostoevsky that uses #digitalhumanities methods to analyze #Dostoevsky texts 🕵️‍♀️ I'm a member of the #DataSittersClub too! 💜
