As I proudly and happily left the lab after a productive day to pick up my kids at 4 pm (yes that early!) one of the daycare teachers tells me “you must be feeling awful to put such a small kid in daycare so early (7 mo)” YES NOW I FEEL AWFUL… #academicmum

I was burned out, sleep deprived. But here I am. I survived newborn stage n2 and it was all totally worth it! #academicmum

I have been staring at a grant and a paper to resubmit for weeks. Sleep deprivation is real. I have not got a stretch of sleep longer than 2 h max in weeks. Sorry reviewers and editors, this may not be perfect but I will eventually click resubmit… #newmom #newPI #academicmum

Kid just gave me feedback on dinner. I finished their leftovers in the process. Definately fulfills formative processes, as a mum, I'm still learning. Particularly in terms of differentiation and catering to (whilst trying to extend) personal tastes and learning styles. #AcademicMum
