My presentation is basically the same as the one I used in my master's #colloquium about the #JackTrip project https://jacktrip.org investigating its #SoftwareArchitecture and focusing the phenomenon of #ArchitecturalErosion in #AcademicSoftware.

I'm currently working on ways to release a 📄 paper within this year. Stay tuned. 🙃

As my professional network grows, I am thinking of installing or implementing some system to help me remember academics in different areas. I'd like to keep a record that I can search whenever there's an opportunity to invite someone, collaborate, or just contact someone to discuss a topic.

Does anybody have such a record? If so, how do you implement it? Spreadsheet? Contacts app? Self-hosted NextCloud with some amazing plugin?

I'm leaning towards a Notion database with a default table view with fields for contact information and some tags to search in the future.

If there's any recommendation, let me know!

Today I finished my #mastersthesis. While on my way to the exam board I start tuning in with #ABurialAtSea for upcoming weekends that I can devote to my #music instead of writing. 📝

I studied a great #FreeSoftware :fsf: project for #realtime #NetworkedMusicPerformance but the focus was its #SoftwareArchitecture, the phenomenon of #ArchitecturalErosion in #OSS, and related issues in #AcademicSoftware.

Though this sounds like a #FantasticAdventure, it's also an exhausting one. But "[I] Really Did Grow After All". 🎸

Recently, I boosted a post on #Inciteful (https://inciteful.xyz/).

It's a tool that used a base reference to find other related references, create a graph, and analyze the graph to extract all kinds of useful information. It provides lists of top authors in the graph and their latest important papers, other recent new papers to check out in the area, and more.

This is now part of my indispensable arsenal of academic tools and a top recommendation for academics in any discipline.
