Whilst trying to compare council maintained schools and academies, it didn't explain the distinctions of how the are run and why they may perform better or worse (I.e. Even if academies are not a solution, there must have been a rationale for the change).

Oh, so there'd been some vandalism and kids had been using their phones. There are more progressive ways to prevent negative behaviour and you could just ask kids to hand over their phones before going to the loo during lessons if it's such an issue. FFS.

121 followers · 698 posts · Server newsie.social@kingsley With each episode of egregious misbehavior by #police, I again wonder whether it would at all help if police #academies were a state-level entity (one per state), accredited and monitored by higher education, staffed by quality faculty, unmilitarized (no barracks), and had a rigorous 4 or 5 year curriculum that included social sciences. And local police departments could hire only such graduates. The graduates wouldn't have student debt, because the State paid their way.
