Having read the article, I'm sad for the lack of diversity.
What seems to be needed: more reviewers from more countries, that includes women and minorities. Plus a comprehensive reward system that supports reviewers.

I feel somewhat humbled by the response of the authors of that manuscript I reviewed two months ago. If anything I’ve learned a lot both about the field and about the reviewing process. Perhaps I was a bit too harsh on my first comments?
I would like to think that we both parts have learned here.
