Sharon Shannon and Alan Connor - "Cavan Potholes"
The accordion sounds great, but Alan steals the show here playing electric guitar and keyboard, sometimes simultaneously.
This song is from their 2016 album, "In Galway".

Lana Elaine - "Missing Time"
Some very fast accordion playing on this beautiful tune. It's a reel by Richard Wong, second accordionist for the Gary Blair Ceilidh Band.
Most of the videos on Lana Elaine's channel are with her husband on guitar and often the kid is in them too. She also plays in band called Herkja, but I don't see any videos of them yet.

Egor Blagov - "Katyusha"
Looks like someone else made an accordion-style MIDI Controller! This one emulates a Garmon.
"Katyusha" is a patriotic Russian song that became popular during World War II.

"Donald McGillavry" - Silly Wizard, 1988
This song is a clever hoax published in 1819 about a fictional leader in a Jacobite rebellion a century earlier.
The accordionist is Phil Cunningham, who has composed many songs and is still playing. (There's not much on his YouTube channel, but people have uploaded recordings from the BBC.)

Ivan Claudio - "Mercedita"
An impressive performance, one of many on his YouTube channel. Someday I hope to do jumps like that!
There's not much about him online, but he's apparently Brazilian and plays lots of gaucho music. Looks like he's released an album and it's on Spotify.
"Merceditas" is a famous Argentinian song from the 1940's about unrequited love; see Wikipedia.

I recorded a song on my new accordion: "Les Champs-Elysées"
It's a popular French song from 1969 that borrowed the tune from a less popular English song. (The Pomplamoose cover is pretty good if you want the lyrics.)
Barak Cohen (vocals) and Noam Oxman (accordion) - Cover of "Dam Dam" by Aris San
I don't know anything about these musicians or this kind of music, but it's a great performance.
Aris San was a Greek-Israeli singer who popularized Greek music in Israel. (For more see Wikipedia.) The song's lyrics seem to be about admiration for a beautiful woman.

Alex de Almeida (accordion), Johann Ahl (violin), Mario Maradei (percussion) - "Asa Branca"
A nice extended version of the famous song by Luiz Gonzaga.
Alex de Almeida is an accordionist from Brazil who is now based in Germany.

Sergey Yatsko - "Dark Eyes" / "Les Yeux Noir" / "Очи чёрные"
An extraordinary solo accordion performance in many variations on the well-known Russian song. (Audio only; pictures are interesting but unrelated.)
There's very little about him on the Internet. This recording comes from a very old record.
For a similar arrangement, look for the recording by Grigpit (Peter Grigorov) on YouTube, and the sheet music is in the description.

Menifà Trio - "Lamento Sertanejo"
Lamento Sertanejo is a popular and often-covered Brazillian song by Dominguinhos and Gilberto Gil. The lyrics are about the loneliness of a newcomer to the city.
This version is by a Berlin-based band. The accordionist and singer is Pier Paolo Bertoli. Starts out slow but speeds up by the end.

Dominique Rivière - "La Partida"
A short and sweet performance of the Venezuelan waltz by a French accordionist. This tune is not hard to learn and many accordionists play it. This is the one I like the best.
Also check out his channel for some good balkan-style tunes.

Sarah Loughran (fiddle) and Paul Young (accordion) - "Reel Beatrice"
Fantastic playing of this French Canadian tune based on an Italian tune.
It's become one of my favorites to play on accordion, but it still sounds better on fiddle.

K. Strelchenko Trio - Quando Quando Quando
Here’s a great jazz performance of the Italian bossa nova song, led by an accordionist from Ukraine.

Michael Grey and David Lange - "Manhã de Carnaval" ("Carnival Morning")
An astonishingly beautiful performance by the violinist and accordionist from Pearl Django.
"Manhã de Carnaval" was one of the first bossa nova songs to gain popularity outside Brazil, and has become a jazz standard. It's also known as "Black Orpheus" after the movie it came from and "A Day in the Life of a Fool" from the Frank Sinatra version.

Renato Borghetti - "Milonga para as Missões"
Renato Borghetti is an accordionist who plays traditional gaucho music from southern Brazil. Here's a spectacular live performance of his most popular song. The guitarist is pretty great too.

Jhoniván - Cover of "Cumbia Sampuesana"
Jhoniván is a Mexican accordionist (he plays all kinds). Recently he's been using a loop station to make covers of cumbia music. Here he plays a sort of dance club version of a famous song named after Sampués, Columbia.

Morander Brothers - Cover of "Through the Fire and Flames" by DragonForce
Amazing speed accordion playing in this comedy cover of the power metal hit. Not to be missed, even if you're not a metal fan.
And if you like this one, today they posted a cover of an Iron Maiden song that's just as good.

Lucienne Renaudin-Vary and Félicien Brut - "Tonight" from West Side Story
Trumpet and accordion isn't a combination that you hear every day and these two sound great together. There are other videos of them too, mostly classical music and some Galliano.
In this combo the accordion is the quieter instrument and you need to turn it up to hear the softer passages well; as in classical recordings there's a big dynamic range.

Ivete Sangalo, Mestrinho - "Saudade chama por você"
A beautiful song from Ivete Sangalo's 2022 album "Onda Boa com Ivete." This video is from the TV show of the same name on HBO Max.
The accordionist is Mestrinho, who has played with lots of Brazilian musicians and made a bunch of albums that I'll be checking out.

A beautiful "waltz in five beats" that I've listened to many times and learned to play a bit.
