I don't think that's unlikely; a complex tax code certainly helps the #accountancy profession, if perhaps a little less than it does in the US. Given the big accountancy firms also are often contracted to help work on the tax system (see the 'scandal' of Australian PWC using that knowledge to help its clients), your suspicions are (I'd say) well grounded

I never really thought about this but of course it makes sense. We've had an unnatural & horrible 2-3 pandemic years.

I'm wondering if there are any #accounting or #accountancy folk out there who can help with something.

I'm training up for a support job for software that in part handles processing business accounting stuff where I need to have an understanding of the accounting parts but without necessarily being able to do them myself. BUT, there's no training material being offered for this and I'm way lost.

Can anyone recommend some training material that I can use to get a handle on processes and terms?

Surely I’m not the only #programmer here dealing with #billing and #accountancy software, and third party integrations?

Who can not only read a trial balance and chart of accounts, but can actually write software to produce them?

Anyone else out there who has had to deal with #EDIFACT and #PortLogistics and #customs integrations?
