How I wish #AccountMigration (and #ServerMigration too for that matter) in #Fediverse was a real migration, and not just a soft redirect.

I'd really like to check out implementations other than #Mastodon, especially #CalcKey, but seeing the schema of both, I don't have enough time and patience to create an #SQL query to move all the data.

Has anyone else had difficulty with #AccountMigration from @purism's #LibremOne to #SocialCoop (@SocialCoop)? When I try to create an #AccountAlias it says my old account handle could not be found. Anyone able to advise please? Many thanks

Manche hatten vielleicht mitverfolgt, dass nach meinem Account-Umzug nicht alle Follower*innen 'mitgekommen' waren, also, automatisch durch den Umzug.

Ich habe eben den dazu nötigen 'Redirect' im alten Account nochmal ausgelöst und jetzt sind fast alle der Follower*innen hier gelandet.

Offensichtlich zeigen alle #iOS- Mastodon-Apps nicht an, wenn ein Account umgezogen ist (oder fast alle).
Da ist dann der alte Account zu sehen, teils mit aktivem 'Folgen'-Button, aber das führt ins Nichts, ohne jeden Hinweis, wo der aktive Account jetzt ist.

An sich schon seltsam, dass das übersehen wurde, aber vor allem, dass es mehrere iOS Apps betrifft.

Ich bin vor einem Monat mit dem Account umgezogen und im alten sind noch 3000+ Follower*innen, die offenbar nicht mit umgezogen sind.

Anekdotisch: Da sind Accounts dabei, die aktiv sind, u.a. bei @mastodon.social, dem alten folgen, dem neuen nicht.

Lässt sich das irgendwie in Gang setzen?

Bitte gern möglichst handfeste Auskennerei und nicht so sehr Vermutungen.

Another nice #Mastodon feature: if you've left a #note on someone's #profile and they move servers, the note moves with them.

(The grammar is less nice, but I'll try to pass that on in the appropriate place, if I can find it. #MastoBugTFJ)

One week after moving my account there's still some 2.500 followers missing that didn't automatically get moved with me. Out of close to 12.000, so approx. 1/5.

Some are inactive accounts, some chose not to, but for the rest I think they accidentally got lost in space. (But might actually still want to follow.)

Please boost this so that they might see it. Thanks!

Well that was very tedious. It would seem that when I moved instances not all the accounts I was following appeared on the new account. Hopefully (manually) fixed now.
