They also happily use #Chinese #herbs which are known for often containing heavy metals like led, cadmium and plant-based carcinogenics like #Aristolochic #acids.

The latter is infamous for causing liver cancer in countries where people believe in that stuff, such as Taiwan.

I'm troubled by how some high school textbooks introduce acids and bases. It is what I call the "Step one" problem - authors don't seem to lay out the simplest, most basic aspect of the issue first. Students can learn an entire chapter - but they still have troubling explaining it in their own words - which means that they don't really get it. So I created this resource for any middle school or high school science teachers
