Opioid-free orthopedic surgery

With my transition to opioid-free, I went from a mindset that this is a necessary evil for controlling pain for my patients after surgery so that they can achieve the outcome of having a repair or reconstruction to this is not necessary.

I got into cycling because it was a good exercise for my knees following an ACL reconstruction 25 years ago. At first I became a spin instructor, and more recently I have got into cycling. I’m pretty rubbish, but it still really helps keeps my knees strong. When they start playing me up, and I know it’s time to get on my bike.
