#BorisJohnson: questions as #DailyFail confirms former PM as its new columnist -
The advisory committee on business appointments (#Acoba), the body that is supposed to rule on what jobs former minsters and officials can take when they leave office to avoid any conflict of interest, has criticised #Johnson for failing to comply with its rules. https://www.theguardian.com/politics/live/2023/jun/16/boris-johnson-partygate-report-rishi-sunak-damian-green-vote-conservatives-uk-politics-live

"#BorisJohnson breaks rules YET AGAIN as he lands £1million job after Partygate shaming"
Given that #Acoba has no power of sanction, Johnson will get a mild rhetorical spank on the bottom, to which he'll likely respond 'Ooh, missus!', before laughing all the way to the bank. If he were a private sector employee in breach of a non-compete clause, the courts would have the shirt off his back.

In a letter to Boris Johnson earlier this year, #Acoba advised him against taking on any paid work for 3 months after leaving office. Johnson quit on 5 Sept, so he was permitted to take on paid work from 5 Dec. He made all 4 of these speeches before that. https://www.nationalworld.com/news/politics/boris-johnson-earned-more-than-ps750k-from-speeches-3954493
