What to do when you want a monitor for your Electron, but space in your Canadian studio is at a premium? Get a teeny tiny 5" LCD from AliExpress, of course!

All it needs now is a 3D-printed enclosure in a suitable style/colour. Suggestions for design ideas are very welcome!

Nnnngh. Okay, I made one of these things. It's about 70% less greeboid than the thing I made for the Issue 4 #AcornElectron. I even used #FlipPins so it wouldn't brutalize the socket.

@bennie the last couple of weeks I've been hacking on an #AcornElectron and the sound and feel of that keyboard, even the smell of the flux residue from the factory in Malaysia burning off when I solder on the board, even the crunchiness of the Acorn console font... it's just the most intense rewind.

16. This has been my #AcornElectron #RetroComputing adventure for this four-day weekend, and actually, I've found it to be quite refreshing- I love it when things actually work.

Moreover, maybe this can breathe new life into Electrons where either the ULA's gone soggy or the Synertek CPU's not doing the needful.

@erikarn said he'd keep me distracted... well, mission accomplished.

Another great #British computer from my collection. This #AcornElectron was boxed but filthy and covered in stickers when I got it. But after some cleaning and a composite mod, it works great!

I lusted after the Electron as a kid. It wasn't as powerful as some other systems, but I just loved the sleek design.

The Electron was a bit of a disaster for Acorn, but 40 years later, about 90% of the planet is walking around with Acorn technology in their pocket.
