@kalayo I like it, but I have to revisit it to learn how to use it and undo my unnecessary import from . I think they are definitely onto something and it is a worthwhile tool to consider depending on one’s needs.

Since I am not an "all or nothing" thinker, I like to evaluate a tool to see how it can be useful while still using and maintaining my current system, , as well as the others that I am interested in like @capacities &

In today's software adventures, I eagerly embarked to [assist my PI 🤓] in the install of on a machine because the upgrade of needed to operate. Wiping a machine and starting with a fresh install is oddly satisfying. I think I'm liking this machine a whole lot more with this upgraded OS. I also may use to have a way to keep notes on this machine since they offer a free sync and I can login in a Firefox Private Tab. ¯\_(ツ)_/¯

@Cevilia @AnneKitsune Do you have any requirements? There are some amazing free apps, offline first with free sync like acreom.com/ which is geared to coding and long form writing and off-line first open source affine.pro/ which is a replacement

If you don't want to have to do any customizations and are ok with online, there's @capacities which has robust free options and tana.inc/ and anytype.io/

@ike I think because the formatting inside of the files is similar that the notes may be very interoperable. I am very excited about and of course I love . I think it may be a very viable option for since they offer free sync as well.

Is anyone using also using ?

I use for GTD, but love the idea of moving to a markdown based format that is also potentially free.

Curious to know if there is synergy in working between Obsidian and Acreom and considerations to make.

I wanted to share with the crew about this local first markdown editor I stumbled on called and it is with sync and calendar capabilities. acreom.com/blog/the-offline-fi

I feel like @ellane may have written about it?

@creativerly has also featured it on their blog: creativerly.com/the-art-of-ask

I am very intrigued & I am starting to understand how important a daily note is because that is the first place I go in

As a big fan of , I thought I'd try , an upcoming competitor to . The Task and Calendar integration all together is very impressive - creating a task with a due date makes it appear in the Calendar, no additional plugins or tags needed. Tables are easier to manage than Obsidian also.
