As always, these are quickly dashed-off ideas as background fluff for the #GURPS game I'll never run, and if my #althistory is lacking #actualhistory, well, I have only so much time to research when I'm trying to do a world a day. :)

A civil society is not an authoritarian one. We know this because the Murdoch press agrees small governments ( better no government) must not interfere with commerce. So it is no surprise to learn in today’s Saturday Paper the NSW government agrees commerce should not be inconvenienced for a moment. The sentencing of climate activist Violet CoCo by Royce Kurmelows and Jon Kudelka’s cartoon suggest this is the way they like it, but I seem to remember the Liberal view is, the individual must enjoy the same freedoms. It just goes to show government is tough when your masters control the purse.
