Adderall can (and does) cause changes to periods when you first start taking it. Heavier, earlier, more painful and/or irregular periods can happen. If you already have #PMDD on top of #ADHD and/or #Autism and experience #MenstrualCycles just be prepared. I was about to leave for the emergency room when I looked this up and realized what it was.

First panic attack on #ADHD meds, felt way less traumatic, shorter, no RSD shame hangover type thing afterwards, which is a first.

Still not my favorite thing to go through, of course, but this was a dramatic improvement. The lead up to the #PanicAttack was pretty much exactly the same.

Hyperfocusing on my makeup application yields significantly better results with the help of the ADHD meds.

I simultaneously feel like I've been cheated by not having access to these meds for this long, but also like I'm somehow betraying my Autistic & ADHD brain chemistry by taking them.

Such a weird experience, but there's been so much more #AutisticJoy since the formal diagnosis, both with and without medication.

First day on Adderall (extended release FWIW) and holy crap everything is so boring!

But it legitimately kicked in within 10 minutes of taking it, which I was not entirely prepared for, and that's with having just eaten a snack immediately before.

I've known for years I was most likely Autistic with ADHD.

Today, my suspicions were confirmed, though the doctor gave me the ADHD diagnosis provisionally, stating that my anxiety is so high she suspects it's mimicking the symptoms of ADHD.

Tomorrow, I'll find out what my treatment options look like. I feel so much relief.

I was told today I would “sell more books” if I wasn’t “weird in public.” The thing is, my workbook doesn’t have mass appeal because it’s specifically for people new to the indentification of their #AUDHD. In the AuDHD community I’m normal. Day 22 of waiting for the results of my #NeuroPsychEvaluation for a suspected diagnosis that includes a "low frustration tolerance" as a feature/bug

They told me 2-3 weeks, so you bet your buttons I had my partner call on my behalf to attempt to metaphorically shake something loose

Interesting up side to the #Autistic #Accent that my partner pointed out to me today- I don't maintain my default accent when speaking my third #language as I adapt my accent to the language and people around me, so my pronunciation is more native and less Americanized

Anyone else get sudden, very brief (seconds, not minutes) waves of emotion and flashes of mental images of a place they've visited?

I don't have a name for these, but sometimes I'll go weeks without them, other times it's like 6x in an hour and I can only assume it's my #ADHD brain seeking serotonin. That's my best guess.
