So, when you are genderfluid, things get really, really annoying. My fluidity changes irregularly - sometimes on weekly basis, sometimes not at all.

When I say fluidity, I don’t mean the gender-change but rather the bandwidth of the change. Most of the time, the changes are minimal. But then there are those days when the fluctuation is worse than the tides. And they can last for hours, or even days.

I dunno what to do then… It would be easy if the fluctuation were just between masc and femme but it is worse. It is between all of the possible n-dimensional coordinates of my gender-Universe.

The problem is that my romantic attraction is somewhat linked to “Current Gender” (CG). So far, though, none of the Gender-Coordinates included attraction to cis men…

Oof, this is hard. Today the fluctuation is really, really horrible. And add to that all the neurodivergence … 😮‍💨

It's also interesting rewatching #Legion while knowing I have an #AuDHD brain - something I didn't know during my first watching 😅 and noticing just how much more I'm empathizing with David 💖 and reflecting upon my own life 🤔

@lina thank you for sharing your experience of music. My experience is almost opposite to yours, I have very little mind's ear and with difficulty get a song by singing the words in my head. It is more normal for me to be humming a tune or having music in the background. I have minimal mind's eye as well which they call aphantasia. This seems to be quite common in #actuallyaustic

Is anyone else struggling to keep a solid sleep routine? I’m haven’t been getting enough quality #MeTime so I tend to stay awake late to make up time but it only makes it worse. What a terrible cycle. My executives do not function well in this environment. #ActuallyAustic

Age 24-27 were some of the hardest years of my life, particularly regarding mental health. That's when I first had to seek out therapy and medication. A lot of the issues I dealt with then have remained somewhat mysterious to me and to my therapists. Anyway, I was just thinking back to those years and realized that everything is explained straightforwardly by autistic burnout. Like, everything... I'm blown away.

@Fawn I would love this! Pretty sure most of the people in my house are some form of #actuallyaustic or #ADHD so we really struggle to keep things even remotely tidy. And me being likely #AuDHD makes it worse because the clutter is so triggering constantly.

Something I've read a lot about discovering one's autistic self is to be prepared for a complete shift in social circle.

If I'm being honest... I'm not sure I'll ever be ready for that. The friends I have are *good* people, who I love and who love me, and who have put up with an admittedly outsize amount of crap from my disregulated, shame-filled self.

They're my primary support network. It'd be great to have more autistic friends I can just... vibe with. But we've put effort into these relationships, and value them. I'm concerned that it really will cause such a shift, as they're my primary support network.

Sorry to be a forever, it's just been on my mind. Have you had any experience keeping friends through DX / discovery? #actuallyaustic
