were not justified by the evidence. #Actuaries had reached this conclusion even before #Covid19.
So the #Government position on this was becoming untenable. As has been seen over #NorthernIreland the present lot in charge seem to understand when and how to retreat.
This makes for better government but one more difficult for opposition parties to cope with!

Actuaries are the world’s oldest data scientists. They literally make their living applying the scientific method to the law of large numbers: fucking around and finding out.
The result is that insurance premiums price the risk with statistical certainty.
You don’t like these rules.
