I cannot in good faith recommend that anyone sign a contract through ACX to be paid in whole or in part in royalties because ACX/Audible is prepared to take down audiobooks without warning to narrators and leave us no recourse to be paid for our work.

I'm horrified that this is the outcome of my case. Please avoid this situation for yourselves.

Just heard back from SAG-AFTRA re #audiobooks through #FindAWayVoices being automatically enrolled in #Apple’s #AI #narration #training set. They have agreed to stop immediately and negotiate in future with #SAG-AFTRA. #ACX / #Audible do NOT supply AI training data they confirm. #Equity are closely following. This is great news and everyone can stop worrying their narration through FindAWay will be misused!

SAG-AFTRA think there’s a lot of noise about this atm, so pls boost to help clear it up.

"Starting today, Audible is reducing prices on titles, including ACX titles, across the site. While we cannot make projections on a title-by-title basis, we anticipate that these price reductions will lead to increased sales for titles overall. In tandem, as the vast majority of Audible content is purchased with a credit, you should expect your average royalty per unit for credit sales to remain steady."
Just so you know? Authors/Narrators have no say on price.

Brandon Sanderson raises Audible/ACX's predatory royalties and poor treatment of Indie Authors and they come back with this.

I am 100% onside with lower prices!

Lower the price to $15 (same as a credit), raise the Royalty rate, and stop taking fees from those royalties.
