Mm I have been apparently Sleeping Wrong according to my neck and head (hypermobility problems 😩) so I'm slow on judging the chaos of #adamite vs #ammineite!

On the one hand, adamite is an arsenate mineral - fun, but deadly. (Also apparently a term for a certain type of nudist. 😅)

But ammineite is hella weird and neat and was the first scientifically recognized mineral of its family - and now there are Four Other ammine-based minerals, too! That's pretty chaotic, really. #MinCup23

Is one of the top two podcasts I've ever heard. I've paid for #Sharyn s work for years and love every second of it. She takes you through ALL of the crusades, the European christian crusades, the crusades against the #Cathars, the #Baltic crusades and the #Reconquista. But then she takes you to more obscure areas like the #Hussites where #JanZizka confronts violent #Adamite #Nudists.

Think I'm going to need a more appropriately sized thing to display this in or on. Anyone have suggestions for where to find good mineral display boxes/platforms? I have plenty of 2x2" cubes, but some of my stuff - like this - is too large (and/or fragile like my stibnite).

This one is adamite, it glows an intense green. Turns out adamite is an arsenate so I need to find it a nice plastic box. (It also needs a box because the rock around it is covered in a reddish dust that gets everywhere.)

Went to the rock shop in Santa Cruz and got some more UV reactive rocks to use my new flashlight on. :) (Turns out one is poisonous so I need to get a container for it, oops.)
