How do we do that?

Well, we supply software for new libraries - absolutely #freesoftware as in beer, and can even aid with some #hosting costs so there's nothing out of pocket.

For existing libraries, which might already have systems they can't easily migrate off of, we can provide #adapters so that the MoP software can provide an #API for use in federation. The current code is setup using #objectorienteddesign to do just this - each system will need an adapter written though!

Is it normal for IDE to USB adapters to fail to start due to lack of power from the USB even when the IDE DVD drive has already it's own power source?

Demand Magnetic USB Cables for phones.

WHY?
1. Saves expensive devices from damaged holes, and
2. Hassle-free and quick attachments and detachments.

ALTERNATIVE:
I have started using 24-pin USB C Magnetic Adapters for phones at home and in car for Android Auto. It is neat, but a bit bulkier than if they were built-in to begin with.

AVOID:
Incompatibility -- 24 pin vs 12 pin, data speed adapter size and so on. The products are not compatible with other brands always.
