Surprise book delivery!! My wife heard me talking about this, so she surprise ordered it for me. Wasn't expecting mail for me, so I was pretty shocked. She of course wasn't and was snickering in the background when I opened the box confused. I usually don't get hardcovers. My copy of Priory of the Orange Tree is paperback. She spoils me. I wonder why she decided to get me a gift?

Bought this not-so-little #book from my local bookshop at a ridiculously low price. It's an 850 page hardcover and just released, yet cost the same as a paperback. Good for me and my wallet, but you almost feel a little bad paying so little.

I've finally finished the ARC for A Day of Fallen Night by Samantha Shannon (of Priory of the Orange Tree fame).

Out of respect for my Mastodonians who dislike spoilers I'll not post a full review here until much closer to the release date, but suffice it to say if you enjoyed Priory of the Orange Tree, you'll enjoy this one. I actually liked it a bit more, actually.
