Oh man so I saw a new doctor today who apparently was not aware of the #AdderallShortage

I told her I hadn't been able to get any for months. She was like "that's odd! Let me just make some calls."

40 minutes later she had gotten in touch with two pharmacies because one kept hanging up on her every time she asked about adderall. An MD! How are regular folks supposed to get in touch with pharmacists?

She was floored, and I was just like "this is normal for everyone with #ADHD right now."

I called a small pharmacy and they were so chill, transparent, and respectful I feel incredibly lucky.
They didn't seem like they get an overwhelming number of clients either so I may be able to dodge some parts of the #adderallshortage, at least for a little while.

Almost got my claws on Adderall again. Just gotta get real cozy with a lot of smaller pharmacies nearby so I can hopefully dodge the DEA blocking larger pharmacies from placing orders.

Finally got an appointment for a new psychiatrist so I can spend money for the privilege of playing Schedule II Phone Tag!

"Hey do you guys have Adderall?"
"No"
"Any mixed amphetamine salts?"
"No"

Repeat five to twenty times, get a confirmation, email psychiatrist with address, get script filled...

... and they're out by the time your doctor send in the script.

After almost a year of interrupted or unavailable #Adderall I finally have a new psych NP and a new prescription for #Vyvanse and I’m almost in tears imagining actually being able to do my job, manage relationships, !READ! without constant force and terror of failure. I needed to try something new anyways, Adderall effectiveness was reducing after 7+ years, although I’m not looking forward to the month long process to find the right dose again.

Oh! After all the ranting I've done about the #AdderallShortage in the US, I *finally* managed to get my prescription filled, thanks almost entirely to my amazing wife calling every pharmacy in the area. It can be done! I mean, not by me without already having my medication, but by other people at least. #ADHD

She's happy to be in a timeline where she can focus for more than five minutes rather than one of the ones where she would be an unmedicated mess crying in a corner when she was supposed to be working.
