Oh, and a bottle of their newly released Vin D’Or - a wine they only managed to make 20 cases of, and will lose money on every one. It’s only took 10 years to get it ready for bottling.

'Grevillea lavandulacea' flowering in the Adelaide Hills of South Australia. Commonly known as lavender grevillea.

For 20 years, I mowed around a scraggly little bush at the base of a gum tree in my home in the Adelaide Hills. My lawn mower couldn't reach it so there it remained. Until one Spring, I noticed a hint of colour and got down on my hands and knees to properly observe it. It was a native Grevillea that had been calling out for my attention for all of those years and I neglected it ... until it showed me its true beauty with it tiny, yet gorgeous flower.
