38°C here in #Adelaide Sth Australia and I'm keeping the girls cool with a misting spray. It wets the leaves of the shrubs which work like an evaporative air conditioner, making a pool of cool air. Water dripping off the leaves is nice and cool for the hens to drink.

Looks like next week is going to be a very hot week for Adelaide & Melbourne; not as warm for us Sydneysiders though:

"Not only has it been Sydney's wettest year on record but also the only year since data collection began in 1858 without one day above 32°C.

There's no guarantee Sydney will reach 32°C next week due to afternoon sea breezes, however there is a good chance the thermometer will crack 30°C for the first time since February."
