After updating to the latest version of #macOS last night, my ad blocker for #Safari briefly broke. You never fully appreciate how garbage-y modern websites look until you lose the ability to filter out runaway monetization. Formerly clean pages became toxic waste dumps FAST.

”Please turn off your ad blocker" is a frequently-served message these days. Don't take the bait. Just turn on the "reader" view in your browser and scroll on, noble soul.

Doing a little testing with #Privoxy, and #AdGuard's DNS servers https://adguard-dns.io/en/public-dns.html (the latter in lieu of a #PiHole server later).

No way to configure #tvOS to use a proxy (did I miss it?) but custom DNS servers was easy & appears to have had the immediate effect of removing ads on #Peacock and #ParamountPlus. I guess #Hulu is avoiding recognizable ad-servers?

der #Proxmox Plan wurde etwas abgeändert. Nachdem #EVCC und #AdGuard laufen werde ich morgen versuchen #mqtt und #nodered zum laufen zu bekommen.
Danach darf dann EVCC an den MQTT Broker kommunizieren und sobald das läuft installiere ich #influx und #grafana.
#NodeRed wird dann die für mich interessanten Langzeitdaten in die #influxdb übermitterln und in #grafana werde ich dass dann irgendwann auslesen/darstellen

und wenn das alles läuft, dann ist #homeassistant dran

i know it's a constant whack-a-mole but i still try to minimize the tracking and profiling for the devices in my house. sometimes that means i need to take five minutes to figure out why #RouteApp doesn't work on homenet and it turns out it's because #split_io sdk and auth endpoints are required when Route is launched.

problem solved, but now i gotta look at where else lookups for `*.split.io` were happening! #householdIT #adguard

Ich bin jetzt auch bei #Bluesky.
Ich sag mal so. Fühlt sich, wie das alte #Twitter an. Kaum Menschen da, die man kennt, manche Funktionen ungewohnt und mit #AdGuard funktioniert die Seite nicht.
Twitter bleibt dahingehend einmalig, weil dort Menschen sind mit denen ich gerne Kontakt habe, die nicht wechselwillig sind und die ich nicht missen will.
Es nervt, dass dieser Murks alles kaputt macht.
Im Augenblick sehe ich noch keine Vorteile von Bluesky gegenüber #Mastodon. Mastodon ist toll!

Yesterday I migrated my home server from #archlinux to #freebsd
I set static IPv4 and it’s gateway, and I tough that IPv6 with SLAAC set gateway automatically, like the IP address. Unfortunately no. I spent time to investigate and understand why I cannot communicate with others using IPV6. I searched in my #pf rules but it was not the right direction 😅
#adguard and #unbound are working like a charm.
#wireguard is set and configured but in IPV4 only. Now I will search if I can set it with IPV6 and how.
In parallel I will reinstall my #PaperMC server (#minecraft server).

I'm loving #AdGuard 4 on ChromeOS. It seems a little easier
to set up, and the additional features are well worth the cost.
