Based on a pattern from @BadassCrossStitch, these were the first & second embroidery projects I’d attempted since grade school. The tiny version came first, and I was honestly surprised and delighted when I actually finished the second larger one.

ADHD is definitely a curse. I was late diagnosed and I think about how much I might have been able to do w/o or managed at a young age. I have a million projects I'm ready to abandon in a second, I don't enjoy doing any one thing much, or for long, def not enough to do it very well. While at the same time being a perfectionist..so instead I just beat myself up for failure. I lie awake at night in existential dread or I have a full 10 hrs of intense dreams. Nothing in between. 1/2 #adhdartists

as someone with adhd , the instant a piece isn't 'interesting' anymore, it becomes a chore and a drag to work on it

i'm learning that i can make 'interesting' shift and change if i can maintain a state of curiosity towards a piece.

Right now that's showing up as , how can i re-style these details? how to render these leaves? how can i use gouache in a diff way and mix in other media?

it's taken me a while to get here but so grateful
