Supper time was a bit of a mess #today; I had a meal plan (fish in mushroom gravy with mashed potatoes) but ended up having to pivot a bunch. I found out my older kids would be out at our usual meal time, so I hustled to start early, only to find out that we were out of instant potatoes, which I was sure we had when I made the meal plan.

#Today is chore day, so I've posted a list on the whiteboard and I've given out some assignments. Some kids are still in bed, so I'll be dividing my energy between disturbing their peace, hassling the awake kids into doing their chores, and getting my own chores done. So of course, I keep distracting myself with side quests, like working on a puzzle in a video game with one of the kids, and posting here.
