First panic attack on #ADHD meds, felt way less traumatic, shorter, no RSD shame hangover type thing afterwards, which is a first.

Still not my favorite thing to go through, of course, but this was a dramatic improvement. The lead up to the #PanicAttack was pretty much exactly the same.

First day on Adderall (extended release FWIW) and holy crap everything is so boring!

But it legitimately kicked in within 10 minutes of taking it, which I was not entirely prepared for, and that's with having just eaten a snack immediately before.

Soooo... i haven't taken my #ADHDMeds today. I'm in doubt whether they do anything.
And yes they do. But i wonder whether #strattera isn't just an antidepressant. I feel the same amount of productivity (maybe even a bit more?!). But i don't have that stupid positive mindset anymore. Sure, might be outside factors, I have enough to be sad and angry about right now, but it feels quite different than the "chillax, girl" feeling i have had on atomoxetin the last two months.

Hoopvol is de situatie niet, met psychiaters die terugschrikken van NAH, nog los van de patiëntenstops overal.

it's been a wild week. well, 5 days, really - on Monday, I started taking meds for my adhd for the first time. even as a reasonable adult, it's hard to fully get past that stigma that surrounds adhd meds.

but...so far, the experience has been good. I talk a lot more than normal and I feel overly anxious at times, but my "get things done" meter is right where it should be. and that has numerous knock-on effects for my mental health too.

As an adult with #ADHD it’s frustrating and disappointing that it’s nearly impossible to reliably get the medication I rely on to help function normally. It’s even more discouraging when the pharmacy can’t even give you a guess as to when it might be available again, and confirms that none of the others have it either. I know I’m not alone in dealing with this stuff - and it’s been an issue for months now - and that’s even more infuriating.

Walgreens just refilled my ADHD meds, which is great because I’m designing and writing an entire ccASHP service & maintenance course from scratch. I will not be riding this bike with no handlebars. I very much need handlebars, coffee creamer, and intermittent hugs. I’ll be spending the next 3 weeks reading instruction manuals & studying wiring diagrams—AND WRITING ABOUT IT.
This is by far the okay-est winter solstice/Yule whatever time in awhile! #ADHDmeds

Just took my first dose of Dexedrine ER (10mg to start) about an hour ago. Holy hell. I feel crisp, clearheaded, and ready to login for work… I’ve already formulated a plan for my workday and haven’t even set foot in my office yet.

Is this what it feels like to have a typical brain? 🤯

Will I even need my smartwatch, whiteboard, and ridiculous number of Outlook reminders to nag me into feeling worthless for not completing tasks anymore?

What’s life like again w/o ADHD meds?
Pretty close to sleeping in my pants so I stop losing my keys, time-blind AF, more switch-tasking, & back to labeling drawers & cabinets containing contents I can’t immediately see. Fortunately, my paid work is still interesting, I can still read real good, & I’m not sad. From past experiences, I know my creative work won’t suffer.
Back to meditating & compensation systems.

Anyway, like I was saying, what was I saying? The ADHD medication, specifically Adderall and Ritalin are on long-term back order or discontinued (until spring or so). Today, my soul was defeated by the Walgreen’s automated phone call voice while I was calling around to see who had any meds left. For instance, Walgreens on West Zia had 32 pills left. I suppose all of this is good news for the street price of study drugs.

Consider this toot to be my weekly sigh in frustration and more frustration over the ADHD med shortage and discontinuation. But, it sounds like the Adderall will be continued again in April 2023–so there’s that.
