55 followers · 291 posts · Server mas.to@JohnHimself Good choice. I've been migrating to #Linux as #Windows10 approaches sunset. Still haven't found a good replacement for #Irfanview and its easy to use custom slideshow mode (running it in #WINE stinks).
Unfortunately I still have to figure out virtualizing #Windows11 to deal with needing #AdobeCC and #MakeMusic #Finale for work, but at least I can contain the lunacy of #Microsoft and #Adobe somewhat within the VM.

I mean, I'm not going to do it.
I just wanted to adjust my plan from the full Creative Cloud to only Illustrator and Photoshop. No point paying all that money when I only want two of the programs (Just went with Illustrator for now, can get PS when I need it)
But in doing that change, it avoids the 50% fee they would have charged if I just straight up cancelled.

Recently swapped out an Intel i9 (MBP 16" for a #MacStudio #M1Ultra & MBAir M2. While the MacStudio has fans, I've never heard them even under intense sustained workloads (video rendering). The #MBAir #M2 without fans is a blazing fast & killer portable.
FWIW, my entire dev stack is #Azure, #Microsoft365, #Nodejs, #React, #VSCode & do a lot of video work (#AdobeCC #AdobePremierePro #AdobeAfterEffects).
