So there I was, just over 14 years ago, sleeping in my cage at the adoption table at Petsmart when this sad looking human said hi to me - i looked up and my agent (humane society volunteer) asked the man if he wanted to hold me since I’d woken up - he said yes. I snuggled in and fell asleep in his arms. He took me home. I took over the house immediately. I got a big brother named Ash who adored me from day one.

A year ago today our neighbour’s rather neglected cat showed up at our back door after being hit by a car. We’d already been caring for him and this was the final straw - we took him in. Fortunately, his injuries were minor (considering) and he recovered fully.

Not only that, but over the past year Diego has gone from being a stinky underweight hyperactive gremlin to a gloriously fluffy chonky boy with a heart of gold. He’s learned to be gentle when he plays, to respect boundaries, and to come home when he’s called. He is the goodest garbage leopard around :blobcatgooglytrash:
