El Rayo Vallecano nació el 29 de Mayo de 1924 gracias al tesón de unos jóvenes futbolistas del Puente de Vallecas y al apoyo incondicional de Doña Prudencia Priego, fundadora del Rayo Vallecano y cuyo hogar fue la primera sede del club vallecano, por aquel entonces "Agrupación Deportiva El Rayo".

Estos jóvenes de 12 a 16 años compaginaban el futbol con sus trabajos o estudios, y se reunían en el hogar de Prudencia en la calle Puerto del Monasterio 8 (antigua calle Nuestra Señora del Carmen 28) para decidir el futuro del club, organizar encuentros y la matriarca rayista les ayudaba permitiendo guardar en su hogar el material deportivo, les ayudaba a lavar las equipaciones y cosía sus trajes e equipaciones.

Doña Prudencia era madre de Juan y Modesto, de 15 y 13 años respectivamente. Juan fue elegido capitán del equipo (primer capitán en la historia del Rayo Vallecano), y Modesto sería titular en el primer equipo de infantiles.

Por todo ello, en cada aniversario del club, la afición rayista recuerda a Doña Prudencia y homenajea la historia del club a las puertas del que fue su hogar.

El Rayo Vallecano disputó ayer su último encuentro en casa de esta temporada, con un 2-1 ante el Villarreal, festejando el Día del Rayismo con actividades para todos los aficionados durante todo el fin de semana, con la presentación de un nuevo mural rayista en el barrio en la previa y una gran despedida al míster que nos hizo soñar, Andoni Iraola, con un atronador aplauso de la grada del Estadio de Vallecas.

In order to get justice to the people more quickly and at a lower cost, our judicial system desperately needs solution like #ADR. There's no doubting it and maybe mediation is the most attractive, trendy, and promising of the lot. Yet, I can't seem to identify any built-in safeguards against corruption. We're putting the onus to the weaker party to pick the healthiest arrangement. Meh, it will not work.
