I can now cross Start A Cooking Fire off of my bucket list. All is well, nobody got hurt, and there was zero damage. The contents of the frying pan I was using suddenly caught fire, so it was just a matter of pulling the pan off the stove and waiting a couple of seconds for the material to burn off.
