(Following the tag would clutter your normal Home timeline.) Do not click Follow for the tag but instead open Settings for the column and Pin it, then Settings again to add other tags if you want. An example I recorded:

I usually use #Tooot, but I thought I’d try the advanced web browser view on my desktop (you can enable in preferences). You can pin the various tabs and really develop your own custom view of the service. Awesome! #MastodonTipsAndTricks #MastodonTips #advancedview
