Women CEOs & Executives are rare in Japan, with women representing just 13% of Executives. This is despite the country setting a goal of 30% women in executive roles way back in 2003.

Congratulations to Makiko Ono for becoming the first woman CEO of a listed Japanese company with a market capitalization of more than ¥1 trillion.
