On the second day of Christmas was something called FEW Bourbon.
Reading up on it, FEW Spirits is a cool little distillery in Evanston, IL. The Bourbon is a blend of 70% corn, 20% rye and 10% malt and aged in charred oak barrels.
On the nose is cloves and cinnamon with notes of caramel and vanilla.
The first sip is a little spicy cloves with sweet caramel.

Tonight’s dram is a little 50ml bottle of Rock Island Blended Malt Scotch Whisky. I’m not sure how I feel about it. On the nose it’s salty, sweet and smoky. There is something there that I can’t quite put my finger on and I’m not sure I like it. I was hesitate to taste it but I took a sip and I was surprised. It is sweet peat and spice with a short peppery finish.
Would I buy a full bottle? I’m not sure.

Tonight’s dram is the wonderful Bridgeland Distillery Taber Corn Straight Berbon. At 47.5 ABV it has just enough spice in the front and a smooth finish in the back. Very tasty dram.

I was gifted a Tomatin 12-year-old single malt scotch whisky for my birthday a few days ago and I've been looking forward to popping it open.
Beautiful aromas of delicate fruits, fresh cut wood and layered floral notes.
