@otterxj @whittenbourg I’ll share more about my #mentalhealth journey gradually, but I didn’t engage therapy until I was about 42, and 6 years later I’m only now learning about #AdverseChildhoodExperiences (of which I’m 10 out of possible 10) and the impact of a bipolar mother and schizophrenic dad. Only now I’m realizing my survival instinct has left wake of wreckage and a sea of people I’ve manipulated or wronged. It’s been a challenging month trying to understand it.

A dose-response association was observed between the cumulative number of #adversechildhoodexperiences (ACEs)
and reports of #pain in 10-year-old children, suggesting that #embodiment of ACEs starts as early as #childhood and that pain related to ACEs begins earlier than previously reported.
