My bet is that online #publicity (making a commercial information public on internet) went toxic during the first decade of the 2000's, starting most probably before 2005, when what would be later called Gxxglenomics entered academic programs, thus helping the worst side of digital #advertisemnt to be taught as a receipt of success for the young talents about to set the foundations of current social medias.
