my stepmom has been doing this daily thing where she tells my brother (7yo) that for 1 hour he needs to be alone and he's not allowed to be around anyone during that time (today she said "you can't be around me, or dad, or Aldara. you have to do something alone, okay?"). it feels really fucked up to me and i can only imagine this negatively affecting my brother 🤠 every day that i hear her tell him this i end up fighting with her in my head about how cruel that is for no reason, which is a conversation that could put my living situation at risk so i say nothing to her in person.

my brother is just a little guy, i enjoy his company!one time he came in during this "hour" to sit on my bed and vibe/do our own things in the same room, and my stepmom still got upset and made him leave to go to his own room by himself.

any advice would be appreciated 🥲 our parents are generally not nice to him in the normal ways that parents don't see children as people, but they've also done horrible things to him and it always seems to come down to them wanting control over my brother. they each never wanted kids until their friend had a baby & they caught baby fever, which is why i feel especially protective of him. (i tried to give as much context as i can without writing a whole book, but i can clarify things/answer questions if needed!)

I have a directory on one remote server (let's call it SOURCE) that I need automatically copied/one-way-synced to a directory on a different remote server (let's call it CLIENT). Files will be added to SOURCE sporadically and will need to be copied/synced to CLIENT as soon as possible. Copy/sync doesn't need to go the other direction (the files will, for example, be deleted from CLIENT and shouldn't be deleted from SOURCE).

I'm still new to vector tools. Any advice on what would take this to the next level?
(I know the stars need work. And I need some hat lines to show that those fingers are grasping the hat.)
