Did some test shots with an aerialist yesterday to work out which poses we will use in an upcoming shoot in May. These are just bounced flash. The actual shoot in May will have a black backdrop and be properly lit with large softboxes.

This was a lot of fun to shoot.

it's a challenging read for me since i remember next to nothing of anatomy from high school bio class... but it should help me understand my body/muscles more & become a more effective #aerialist

I’ve been focusing on technical #kettlebell skills at the gym for the past month. I feel pretty strong with kettlebell #snatch, but my #CleanAndPress has a ways to go. I am also working on my #PullUps. My upper body strength is slowly returning. I’d love to get the same strength and stamina I had when I was an #aerialist.

Continuing with circus ... in August Kinetic Arts organized a two day festival with workshops and solo performances each night. I was only able to get to the second night, but it was fantastic. It really felt like KA was connecting with the rest of the Bay Area circus community in new ways, bringing in new people, and I hope it becomes a yearly event. Here are some of the great acts.
