Awesome Nigerian horror story about a mysterious microphone and the men holding it / beholden to it. Great language, ambience, genuinely spooky.

@gail This week I’ve been listening to “Children of Virtue and Vengeance”, which is sequel to “Children of Blood and Bone” by Nigerian-American author Tomi Adeyemi.

It’s a YA fantasy trilogy, African inspired (very much around Nigeria) lots of magic, strong female characters.

The audio books are read by Bahni Turpin, and I’m really glad I decided to listen to these rather than visually read them. Her acting skills for each character are marvellous, and her voice is always clear and easy to listen to.
