Firstly I would like to say, what a great #AfricaOyé we had in 2023.
Secondly I'd like to say that while the Met pranking other people is always funny. It's not funny when they do it to me. From 6:30 for about 2 hours Oyé was very fukin wet.
Late update, HEAVY RAIN IS OFF THE MENU!!!
Forecast is now a very high probability of thundery showers and a light breeze from the west. Expect some dramatic weather and not to get too wet. If you're bringing something to read put it in a plastic bag.
Updated forecast for #AfricaOyé
Sunday:
Thundery showers expected. It's raining and thundery right now. Rain is expected. Heavy rain from 6pm.
Fra! and Tania Stevens sounded a lot better than they did on record, to me anyway. Hope for more great music on Sunday.

A warm walk to the station on my way to #AfricaOye in #Liverpool but noticed a little Chinese bakery has opened. I'm now one mango cheesecake slice, an iced jasmine tea, and a lovely chat with the owner for the better.
Some days something relatively unspectacular is just a perfect fit and feels as if it's been curated just for me.
If you are going to #AfricaOyé today this is your weather report this Saturday morning.

I don't know how to interpret the Met forcast so bear in mind I never accept any responsibility for anything I say on my account ever.
Saturday:
Looks like partialy overcast all day, temps to stay over 20 degrees. 25% chance of light showers hour to hour. Gentle southerly wind.
Sunday:
Met has issued a *yellow* warning of thuderstorms and heavy rain. This is the lowest category and they have not indicated risk to life or being cut off. Please avoid bringing metal umbrallas, golf clubs, and early WW1 german infantry helmets.
The is a high possibility it is going to fucking tip down from about 2pm. As those forecasts harden acts might be brought forward in the set list. Although there has been no indication of this yet from the event organisers.
Wind still gentle, temps still forcast to stay over 17 degrees.
I hate to link to twitter but you might want to take a peep for updates: https://twitter.com/africaoye
Remember, I live in Liverpool, ask me anything.

Had an excellent time at the #AfricaOye festival yesterday and the only rain was from this #recycled #plastic cloud hanging from @arthrowl #PlasticTactics stall. Managed to bag this ace plant-pot, moulded on site at the festival using #NestonHighMaker's injection-moulder, from freshly shredded old milk bottles #weeknotes
