61023 - We went hiking at the Salinas River State Beach. It was cloudy after the early afternoon rain. By late afternoon the light was good enough to get some decent photos.

6323 - Walked downtown today. Ate calamari and chips at the wharf, got ice cream cones on Alvarado, and ate them at the Larkin building’s garden.

23/04/2023 - A day of rain but by the afternoon we'd had enough of indoors so headed out for a walk up Bennachie. It was wet, windy and cold but it didn't much matter. Just felt good to be out. Quiet on the hill. The slugs didn't seem to be put off by the weather either, they were probably enjoying it more than us.

15/04/2023 - What a lovely sunny day! Afternoon walk from the house. Blue sky, white clouds and sunshine, just great. Even felt a little warm (for Aberdeenshire in April). The spring flowers are really starting to come out. Roads were quiet, lots of birds about, heron and grey wagtails on the burn. Saw a single Peacock butterfly. Heard my first ice cream van of spring too, the warmer days are maybe here at last.
