21/04/2023 - Evening visit to Mona Gowan. Past sunset by the time we reached the top. It had been 14 during the day but the temperature soon dropped. It was -1 by the end. With the wind chill, the top of the hill felt a lot colder. We tucked in behind the big cairn and had our tea. The sky slowly turned to night and the stars came out. Stayed just over an hour. Slow walk down off the hill in the company of a really nice aurora. Just a magic walk this evening.

19/04/2023 - Cairn-mon-earn. It's been 12 years since our last visit here. This was our first time up after sunset. Quiet this evening. We sat, had a brew and watched the sky slowly turn dark. Really good stars tonight. The Bronze Age cairn at the top is big, 17m in diameter by 3m in height.

More . Before life became too busy, I used to take photos. I did quite well & had work in a couple of exhibitions. Then & lockdowns came & I kinda lost my phojo. In the creative world, people forget you very quickly & the idea of starting again didn’t appeal. I may pick up my camera again. I may not. This is in 4 years ago. Thanks for looking
