ist bei mir bald 2 Jahren - also seit kurz nach Release - oder so Aktiv und läuft ziemlich Problemlos, ich überlege nur gerade ob ich die vom @kuketzblog empfohlene #AFWall+ nicht deaktiviere, mit der neueren Android Version ist die fast obsolet und außerdem Crashed die gelegentlich.
Aber Location service ist mit GSM + Mozilla + Déjà vu z.B. sehr gut und die Akkulaufzeit eigentlich auch 1Tag+(natürlich sehr benutzungsabhänig) usw..

Jetzt wär's schön, wenn ich das DNS-Problem noch gelöst bekäme...

"getprop | grep dns" (su) auf dem Handy ausgeführt (egal ob Wireguard-Tunnel oder LTE), ergibt trotz AFWall+/Custom Scripts die DNS-Server vom Internet-Provider 😕

An was könnte das liegen? 🤔 Ideen anyone? 🙏

DNS-Server ist mein Pi-Hole (+ Unbound) mit der internen IP 192.168.178.40.

@iska@mstdn.starnix.network @fdroidorg No chance on blocking by domain (there are millions if not billions of them). It would have to be done by a very long list of CIDRs, but with what firewall? We’d have to scrap #Droidwall & #Afwall (root req. & not everyone has root). Can orWall or rethinkDNS handle that? AFAIK the only solid way for unrooted devs is to build a gateway transport & run a VPN.

Ребзя, кто (вдруг) использует #AFWall+, какие у вас разрешения даны, и при этом нормально скачиваются картинки с мастадона.
Перевожу. Что с Tusky, что с fedilab не могу скачать картинки, приходится делиться ссылкой, методом тыка выяснил, что это при рабочем #AFWall, и кто может что подсказать? Самому tusky естественно дан доступ в инет.

@Fairphone OK, after some more tinkering, this seems to #fix my #network issues: In #Android10 there's a new service (or an old one, doing new things) called 1073 Network Stack. If you're using #AFWall, you need to allow network access for all connection types you want to use (i.e. Wi-Fi, mobile, roaming). If you configured a private dns, switch it off. Reboot and reconnect... if everything works, you can now also reactivate your private dns again.

I replaced my #oneplus2 battery, fine tuned #lineageos by using #afwall firewall and now I have about 31 hours autonomy with VPN, gps, WiFi and mobile data always on. True that I don't use the phone much, so screen time is little, but I believe I can get at least 8 of intense usage with a single charge. Not bad, right? What do you think?

@the_white_wolf I heard well of #grapheneos . A friend installed it on a pixel, I think and works like a charm. It seems slicker and easier than my setup however I wouldn't run any rom without #AFwall+ . This firewall is just gold (and I advise to purchase the premium version to support the developer) and gives you so much freedom because it allows to decide which app can connect on which net-device and in which occasion (via firewall profiles). So cool and reliable but it requires root.

Auf dem Handy habe ich browserunabhängig #Blokada, #Warden, #UntrackMe und #AFWall.

In Fennec #ublockorigin, #httpseverywhere, #decentraleyes und #bitwarden.

Die Geräte von Frau und K1 sind genauso eingerichtet.

Eine Zeitlang hatte ich noch #Shelter am laufen aber das hat irgendwann Probleme verursacht... Ich weiß nur leider nicht mehr, welche. :-/

Die einzige Google App, bei der ich echt keine adäquate Alternative kenne, ist Google Camera. Das Ding ist leider wirklich unerreicht gut.
Darum benutze ich das auch.

Gleiches gilt für MS Lens. Da gibt es einfach nichts im Open Source Sektor, was dem nahe kommt.

Aber weil ich auch #Blokada, #Warden und die #AFWall (Gürtel-Hosenträgerlösung) nutze, tut mir das nicht wirklich sehr weh.

As-tu essayé #XPrivacyLua ? Elle permet, pour une application données, de bloquer l'accès à différentes informations (liste de contact, lire les messages, utiliser l'appareil photo...). Couplé à #AFWall+ pour limiter les connexions internet, c'est un bon début pour limiter une application.

J'utilise depuis longtemps #XPrivacyLua pour les autorisations, couplé à #AFWall+ pour l'accès à Internet.
Le premier ne bloque pas l'accès à aux données, mais il donne à chaque fois une liste vide à l'application qui le demande (liste des messages, des notifications, des contacts...).
Le deuxième permet de bloquer l'accès à Internet et/ou au lan à l'application.
Seul inconvénient, il faut rooter le téléphone...

Ich hatte #afwall über 1 Jahr laufen und die Logs waren leer.
GPS macht das wg. dem SUPPL Server, aber da bekomme ich auch keinen anderen rein.

Meinungen:

Brauche ich noch #adaway und #afwall, wenn ich ein reines #lineageos ohne Google nutze und nur apps vom #fdroid inatalliere?
