I was offered a contract by age care providers Hall & Prior as a part of a take over of our facility. I told their three representatives that they could shove their contract and I didn’t know how they could sit there and argue their case for what I believed was screwing carers

Today carers receive an increase in their pay rate. I also see the worst in corporate greed. A commercial aged care company downgrades what it considers a carer does by arguing the tasks being performed constitute a small part of the carers duties only

Leaves carers $0.97/h worse off. I hate capitalism and the people who prostitute it’s warped morals. The residents are the ones who will suffer

Rather than increasing costs & passing the bill on to the next generation we should look at more efficient, innovative ways of providing care.

Reverse mortgages or forced housing sales in addition to selling aged care facilities in high demand areas & building new more efficient retirement centres in the regional cities.
